I know I’ve been a bit quiet as of late. I’m realizing that blogging is either a full or part time job that I’m just not cut out for, at least in this season of life! It’s been my hope to have something profound to share at least a few times a week, but the reality is I’m not that enlightened! I thought I would share a few things I’ve been doing/reading/planning….
I recently made the decision to get back in the saddle (thus the old picture of me and my punk rock steed) and sign up for a triathlon in late September. This will be my fourth triathlon, but my first at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been. I got inspired to rekindle the dormant athlete in me and felt I needed a goal to work towards. So far, training has been going great! I’m slowly getting into the habit of doing a rigorous morning workout every weekday and trying to hike or surf on the weekends. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it’s slowly becoming the highlight of my day. I’ve mostly been doing spinning, swimming a little jogging and recently started weight training.
I can never read just one book at a time. Currently, my kindle iPad app is full of half-read books. But my top three favorites at the moment are (I’ve also been devouring the current issue of Darling Magazine):
1. Triathlon for the Every Woman:You Can Be a Triathlete. Yes. You. By Meredith Atwood
2. People Over Profit by Dale Partridge
3. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo
I am so excited to announce that Wonderfully Made and Friends of Bethany Hamilton are now officially planning our second annual Anchored In Love Conference. We haven’t announced the date or location yet, but stay tuned!
I haven’t been writing too much lately, but am currently putting the finishing touches on an article for Thryve Magazine. This will probably be my most personal article yet.
While life hasn’t been void of challenges, it’s also been full and beautiful at the same time. What have you been up to lately? What are you dreaming of, reading, planning for? XO
