Last month I attended the American Association of Christian Counselors World Conference. AACC is the largest Christian mental health organization in the world and is selflessly committed to helping people live flourishing lives marked by vibrant mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional wellness.
The AACC team is amazing and have a genuine passion to help people live flourishing lives. They provided endless affordable resources, courses, and events and I highly recommend you visit their website to learn more (link below), especially if you work in the faith-based mental health field. We hosted a booth and were able to share all about Wonderfully Made and I was able to sell copies of my books and connect with hundreds of like-minded people with a heart to help others thrive.
Apart from the conference, my friend hosted a Women of Influence Gathering for women at her home in Nashville. It was special to share my story and about Wonderfully Made with them. Other highlights including line dancing, trail running, bowling, and shopping, of course. My husband and I love Nashville and if there was an ocean and better weather we’d make our home there! Until then, we’ll keep paying criminal taxes in California.

I’m grateful for my fearless, smart, wise and fellow tall girl Heather who serves on our board.

Signing my newest book Social Media Reset: A 30-Day Guided Journey to Unplug, Reconnect with God, and Reclaim Your Joy at Tyndale’s booth.

With Stephanie, my amazing marketing manager at Tyndale.

I partly owe my writing career to my former agent Dave, who believed in me and drew out the book idea I had for 12 years which became Wonderfully Made: Discover the Identity, Love, and Worth You Were Created For which was published with Moody.

There is nothing like the evolution of a book — from concept to the final product! I’m so happy with how it turned out and love the cover. The Tyndale team is top-notch. I came up with the idea for the book in September 2023 while I was in Nashville, and here it is in the same city two years later!

I loved meeting Alisa Keeton with Revelation Wellness, and we are so excited to have her on the podcast soon.

You know it’s going to be a great conference when Bob Goff is there!

It was a treat to hear Dr. Amen speak live for the first time. I’m so honored that he endorsed Social Media Reset. His work has transformed my life and the way millions of people across the world view “mental health,” and has helped educate the world that it “mental health is brain health.”

A big highlight was seeing my friend Dr. Zach Clinton and being interviewed by him about social media and what it does to our souls. Zach is one of the most brilliant communicators I’ve ever met and I strive to be as great of a podcast host as him. I recommend his book Even If: Developing the Faith, Mindset, Strength and Endurance of Those Who Are Build Different, especially to the guys in your life.

Don’t mess with me on a bowling alley or soccer field!

Surround yourself with women of influence who make you better.

With my friends Robyn Graham and Constance Rhodes — two women on a mission.

No matter what you are going through, this isn’t the end of your story. Chase joy everyday and catch it. There is hope for you, friend.
